UTUT PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM
UTUT’s Early Intervention Preschool and Kindergarten provides children 2.5-6 years old, with an intensive learning environment focused on accelerating the skills necessary for successful integration. The program fosters communication, joint attention and stimulates imitation skills by teaching students how to play and demonstrate pro-social behaviour. Our program is appropriate for children who require intensive and direct teaching to acquire the prerequisite skills necessary for successful integration into:
- Daycare
- Preschool
- Kindergarten
The goal of our program is to build a foundation centred around communication and social skills. Daily classroom routines focus on school readiness skills, which includes a strong emphasis on toileting routines. Early Intervention Preschool and Kindergarten incorporates the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis, and the philosophy of Naturalistic Developmental Behavior Intervention.
Preschool & Kindergarten Program Options
- 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
- Monday – Friday
- 5 days a week
- 5:2 Student to Teacher Ratio
- 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Monday – Friday
- 5 days a week
- 5:2 Student to Teacher Ratio
Step 1:
Upon enrolment each student with have a baseline assessment completed to determine individual strengths and needs
Step 2:
Once the assessment is completed, students are placed in the appropriate pre-school class based on their strengths and needs
Step 3:
Students will participate in ongoing teaching and assessment to track progress over time. Data is collected weekly to ensure successful learning
Program Feature:
Parent communication is a big focus of the Preschool and Kindergarten Program. Families will have 24/7 access to secure app where they can monitor their child’s progress day to day.
